33 years of IT in 4 (APPLE) Products

Less than 2 years ago I’ve pusblished the 1st version of this thing. Now it’s time for an update, especially as it’s been used by my colleague Federico Pigni in the new edition of the book Information Systems for Managers, p. 138 (version without case here). I feel so proud ^_^

In effect, I’m still teaching an introduction to Management of Information Systems at Grenoble École de Management, a part of my job is to make clear some concepts and tools, for students. This is why I’ve firstly updated the comparizon used by Gabriele Piccoli in Information Systems for Managers: Text and Cases edition 2, p. 20, fig. 1.12, for a clearer one.

It is a 33 years comparizon of IT based on Apple products, because it speaks to students, from the Apple IIe to the Iphone 6S+. I use this picture to show students the omnipresence and omnipotence of IT in our everyday life due to technical and price evolutions. This can be used as a basis for a discussion on implications for future managers. (original power point here)
